Professional Recording Session at Deadpan Studios — November 14
In addition to the 7 weeks of classes, students will spend a couple of hours at Deadpan Studios, recording in a professional studio environment and gaining hands-on experience behind the microphone.
Program Description
The Voice-Over Toolkit is designed for beginner and intermediate voice actors looking to develop their skills, gain confidence behind the microphone, and better understand the professional world of voice-over.
Students will explore three key areas of the voice-over industry—commercial, animation, and narration—while learning how to interpret scripts, take direction, make strong performance choices, and develop their own unique voice and delivery.
Through hands-on exercises and recording practice, students will work on microphone technique, character development, vocal expression, script interpretation, and creating engaging, believable performances using only their voice.
The program supports students at different stages of their training, allowing beginners to build a strong foundation while giving intermediate students the opportunity to further refine their technique and performance choices.
Following the 7 weeks of training, students will take their skills into a professional recording environment at Deadpan Studios on November 14. During this special extended session, students will spend a couple of hours in the studio experiencing the professional recording process firsthand and putting their training into practice.
