Workshop Description: Discover the essence of auditioning and scene study in this immersive two-day course led by industry professional Axel Green. Day 1 focuses on breaking down auditions, memorization techniques, building industry connections, and understanding the unique landscape of being an actor in Northern Ontario and Canada. Gain essential strategies to elevate self-tape submissions and develop auditioning skills that captivate casting directors.

On Day 2, join a table read and scene study of “Santa Vs. Satan” with guest writer Jeremy Beal. Participants will review self-tapes from Day 1, engage in peer feedback, and participate in an interactive table read to explore character dynamics, vocal and physical performance techniques, and script flow. Through this hands-on process, participants will gain insights into delivering authentic and memorable performances.

This foundational course equips actors with the skills to deliver impactful performances at auditions and on set. Participants will receive sides on the day of the course and should arrive in comfortable clothing, bringing their best ‘Dad’ joke to share.
