Join Toronto filmmaker Jade Yurich for a fun-filled workshop where young performers will build confidence, unleash their creativity, and discover the joy of comedy through improv games, character work, and group activities.
Participants will:
-Play comedy and improv games
-Create fun characters and scenes
-Build confidence and creativity
-Practice quick thinking and communication skills      Â
-Explore acting for camera through playful exercises
Jade's upcoming feature film, Roads, has been selected by the Directors Guild of Canada – National for recommendation to Telefilm Canada's Talent to Watch Program and is set to film in Northern Ontario.
Whether your child is brand new to acting or already loves performing, this workshop provides a supportive environment where they can take creative risks, make new friends, and have a lot of fun.
No experience necessary—just bring your imagination and a willingness to play!

Jade Yurich Bio:Â
Jade Yurich is a Canadian filmmaker, writer, director, and comedian whose work spans film, television, live and digital platforms. His feature project Roads was selected as a Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) recommended project for Telefilm’s Talent to Watch initiative, marking him as an emerging voice in Canadian cinema. Rooted in Northern Ontario storytelling, Yurich’s work blends grounded character drama with musical and road-movie sensibilities, often exploring family, identity, and ambition within working-class and regional music cultures.
Professionally, Yurich is a "content powerhouse" with extensive credits across production, post-production, and creative development. He began as an assistant director on features including White Lie, Astronaut, and Brotherhood, and has since worked with Rolling Pictures, IATSE 411, and major productions including Ginny & Georgia, TallBoyz, and The Queen of My Dreams. His credits include producing Crave’s I Have Nothing, post supervising Still Single, and post-coordinating & Sons and Bladerunner 2099, alongside commercial work for Budweiser, Bud Light, and Volkswagen.
As a creator, he has directed short films such as After You and Eyes Wide Open, developed comedy projects including Pack of Jokers, and continues to build original film and series work across genres with a focus on authentic, audience-driven Canadian storytelling.
