Program Description
This immersive 4-week intensive is designed for actors ready to gain real, professional on-set experience.
Participants will work directly with a cinematographer while filming scenes on location, learning how to deliver natural, grounded performances within a real production environment.
In-studio sessions will focus on scene preparation, performance technique, and on-set etiquette, ensuring participants are fully prepared for each shoot.
Throughout the program, actors will gain hands-on experience with blocking, continuity, working with camera, and taking direction—key skills required on professional sets.
All footage will be professionally edited and delivered to participants for use in their demo reels, providing high-quality material to support their careers.
Mathieu's Bio:
Mathieu Taillefer is a versatile film and media professional with more than a decade of expertise in cinematography, lighting design, VFX, audio post-production, color grading, and directing. His work has been showcased on Netflix, UNIS TV, TVA, Amazon, and APTN, where he has overseen every production stage from conceptual lighting schemes to final color-grade delivery. He partners closely with actors at every level, from emerging talent to industry veterans, coaching nuanced on-camera performances, guiding precision blocking and marks, and ensuring seamless collaboration with multi-camera crews. A dedicated mentor, Mathieu empowers performers to hone emotional authenticity, adapt to last-minute technical changes and deliver confident, camera-ready work under any production conditions.
As Mathieu is an active working professional, in the event he is unavailable due to a booking, a qualified replacement instructor will be provided.
