Program Description

Step into The Audition Lab and explore the world of auditioning in a focused, hands-on environment designed to help you stand out.

This program is all about mastering the audition process—from first read to final self-tape. Students will work with real scripts from film, television, commercials, and voice-over while refining their performance and technique.

With a strong emphasis on self-taping, actors will learn how to create professional, high-quality auditions from home, including framing, lighting, slating, and confident on-camera delivery.

Throughout the program, students will build a deeper understanding of:

• Audition technique

• Scene analysis and script breakdown

• How genre impacts performance

• Zoom and virtual auditions

• Voice-over and commercial auditions

This class is designed to give actors the tools, confidence, and industry insight needed to walk into any audition fully prepared.

About the Instructor

Kelly Lamb is the owner of That Creative Loft and a professional actor, holding ACTRA and UDA memberships. She holds a degree in the Arts from Laurentian University.

Kelly has coached students who have gone on to book roles in productions such as Ginny & Georgia and The Black Phone 2, and brings extensive real-world experience to her teaching. She has worked on over 5,000 self-tapes with actors, giving her deep insight into what casting directors are looking for and how to stand out.

Her goal is to help actors build confidence, sharpen their technique, and succeed in both auditions and on set.
